The federal government has announced a next move that is to be of great impact to the fashion industry. In a bid to end the annual loss worth $6billion due to import of garment and textile goods, the government has announced that it will be setting up an integrated textile factory/park in the Katsina State in partnership with the Katsina state government.

“The state government has made available quite a largest land and we had seen the facilities that are available on the land —power line, rail lines and the network of roads. We have also developed our work plan” said the minister of state for industry, trade and investments, Mariam Katagum, during a visit to the proposed site made available for the project in Funtua local government in Katsina State.

She also talked about how the project is aimed at bringing industrial revolution to  Katsina state by boosting the production of cotton, creating massive job opportunities that will in turn boost the economy of the nation.

The project is one of the six priority projects of the federal government under the Industrial Revolution Plan. The katsina government has begun it support for the project by providing about 180 hectares of land which now serves as the site for the project which is expected to last for 24 months.

The permanent secretary of the ministry of Industry Trade and Investment,Dr Nasir Sami Gwarzo mentioned that the Industrial park when completed would aggregate cotton from over 800,000 farmers from the Northern part of the country.

The Federal government is also looking out for public-private partnership that will make the project of building a world class textile park effective with the space of two years.

This initiative of the government will definitely bring about a reduction in the amount of textile and garments imported into the country and boost the economy.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.”
She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a
hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back!
LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!

I’m not sure why but this website is loading extremely slow for me.
Is anyone else having this problem or is it a problem on my end?
I’ll check back later on and see if the problem
    still exists.
