As we all know, fashion is ever-changing and different styles are being rocked daily. Just like we have been serving style inspiration over the past few weeks with our Style Of The Moment column, here are some trendy styles that have the power to make your wardrobe pop!
Maxi Jumpsuit
Regular jumpsuits, which are designed as a pair of trousers attached to a top, are made to give the wearer a level of freedom while remaining snug on the body. Maxi jumpsuits, on the other hand, are a different ball game entirely.
Although these styles still retain the original impression of a jumpsuit, maxi jumpsuits are designed to have more freedom than the regular jumpsuits and are almost 3 sizes bigger. One advantage of this style is the level of comfort it brings. However, unless paired with the right accessories, it probably cannot be rocked to formal occasions.
Shirt Dress
As a Mauvelli fashionista, you should not be wearing boring dresses! The shirt dress is a style that comprises of a button-down style and any other style the fashion designer infuses.
In the picture above, the shirt dress was designed to be button-down while adding a flared and high-low style to it. A belt was also added to give a snatched waist look. This style is very comfortable and gives the wearer a feminine and chic look.
Hand-Printed Fabrics
Hand-printed fabrics are plain or coloured fabrics which have a unique pattern, print or style added to them. Textile fabric designers usually handprint different patterns on fabrics to make them unique.
Different styles, like shirts, trousers, and shorts can be designed with these type of fabrics to make them unique, just like in the picture above.
Ankara-Laced Kimono
A kimono is an outfit that is usually worn over another outfit to add more style and flair to that outfit. Kimonos are traditionally designed with soft and breathable fabrics, such as linen, so they are suitable for different weathers.
Fashion designers these days have channelled their creativity to design kimonos made partially, or even entirely, with all sorts of African wax prints. Kimonos made with these type of fabrics are usually unique and stylish.
Side Ruffles
The amazing thing about adding extra style features like ruffles and frills to outfits is the extra style they bring. A ruffle in an outfit means any gathered or curled strip of fabric which is added to an outfit as trim or decoration.
Side ruffles can be added to outfits such as dresses, skirts, tops, or even jumpsuits just like in the picture above to achieve a feminine look.
These are some of the styles that would make a difference in your style game!
