In case you didn’t know, Andra Day is an American singer, songwriter and actress, and she recently starred as the cover for V Magazine. In the interview, she spoke about her role in the upcoming American biographical drama film, The United States Vs Billie Holiday.
Speaking about the impact she hopes the film would have on society, she said,
“I hope this is a revelation. First of all, telling Black women’s stories is huge for me. When people walk away from this film, I want them to feel the way I felt making it. I looked at the way Billie stood up to the government and it just made me think, ‘I want to get people to grow, to not be afraid of the system’”.

IMAN is a well-known supermodel from Somalia and she definitely is a sight to behold on the new cover of Harper Bazaar UK Magazine. The supermodel, in the interview, spoke about her marriage to late music icon David Bowie.
She also spoke about her battle with institutional racism as well as being comfortable with getting older amongst others.
“I know what it’s like to be a refugee. I know what it’s like to be an immigrant. I know what it’s like to not be white. I know what it’s like to not be made. I know what it’s like to adapt to a culture that’s not your own and long for the ones you know. I know firsthand the extra burdens that each of these realities can bring.”
