So, here are our styles of the moment for this week.

Underbust Corset Top

As you may already know, a corset is a woman’s tightly fitting undergarment which is worn to shape the figure, but the underbust corset begins just under the breasts and extends down towards the hips.

We have spotted a lot of celebrities rocking this piece, including Mercy Eke of BBNaija, and it is quite unique. This style can be designed in plain fabrics or African fabrics and then worn over a top or a dress, just like in the image above.

We also think they are very fashionable and can turn a regular outfit into a stunning one.

Minaudière

A minaudière is a women’s fashion accessory, generally considered a jewellery piece, which is intended to substitute for an evening bag. Although, the minaudière is quite similar to the clutch purse, the clutch purse is typically less structured and more of an envelope shape, compared to the minaudière which is in formal of a box.

The minaudière is also very unique and has a contemporary feel to it. You can rock it to a number of casual occasions in which a handbag or mini bag wouldn’t do justice.

Colour Mix

While not necessarily going for a melange or ombré look, different sets of colours can be put together to design an amazing fit. Being something we see now with fashion designers, combining different colours to deliver an outfit really makes an outfit pop!

Just like in the image above, different colours such as yellow, blue, brown and many others were blended in such a way that is appealing, and we think that is impressive!

Bustier Top

Usually, bustier tops are designed in such a way that they push up the bust by tightening against the upper midriff and forcing the breasts up while shaping the waist. In recent times, we noticed a lot of fashion designers getting really creative with this style.

What do we mean?

Due to its versatility, the bustier top can be designed with a wide range of fabrics, including leather, and African fabrics such as Ankara. The bustier top, when paired with the right clothings and accessories, can either pass for a casual look, or even a casual corporate one.

We think this style is definitely a banger and you should have it in your wardrobe.

Leg-Of-Mutton Sleeve Style

The leg-of-mutton sleeve style is one that has been rocked by many people these days, especially for owambe occasions.

This style is known to add a dramatic and voluminous feel to the entire look of an outfit, and this is probably the reason why people gravitate towards it a lot. Also, depending on the creativity and expression of the designer, this style can be used to sew tops which can be rocked with denim trousers, wide-leg pants and many others.

With these styles, you’re totally on your way to becoming the next style icon, don’t you think? Drop a comment below and let us know the styles you’d be adding to your wardrobe.
