Fashion Tech: Here’s All You Need To Know About Team Management App Trello

Every growing and established fashion entrepreneur knows that having a team is one of the most important parts of running a fashion brand. Regardless of whether your fashion brand deals in clothes, shoes, beauty products, handbags or makeup, you need essential staff to ensure the smooth running of the brand.

While hiring the right staff is great, one thing many fashion entrepreneurs find a bit hard is staying on top of every task and project in the business and ensuring that everyone does their bit. It is at points like this that apps like Trello come in handy.

What is Trello?

Trello is a web-based list-making application that makes it easy to manage projects and organise anything. The app which was developed by Fog Creek Software in 2011 was acquired by Atlassian in 2017.

With Trello, entrepreneurs can organise work projects, company hangouts, meetings, and so on without hassle. Trello makes teamwork easy.

What can Fashion Entrepreneurs Use Trello for?

Being a fashion entrepreneur, you can use Trello to organise any form of project you are handling in your brand. With the app, you can assign tasks to different members of your team and monitor the progress of each of your team members.

You can also send reminders to your team members to make sure that everyone is on top of their game and meets the deadline you have set on the app as well. This, in many ways, will reduce and maybe even completely eliminate the need to send emails back and for the between your team members.

Apart from projects with members of your immediate team, you can use Trello to plan and organise collaborations with other entrepreneurs and even plan family events.

With the boards, lists, and cards Trello has, it is easy to tag and label everything so you know what projects are pending and what’s on your to-do list. With Trello, also, you can see what is ongoing and what has been done.

Trello Requirements and Features.

Trello is a web-based app that can be used straight from the internet, as a downloaded desktop app or as a mobile app on your android or iPhone. Though it has a free plan, you can also sign up for a Business account ($12.50 per person per month or $119.88 per person per year) or an Enterprise one (prices vary).

At first, using Trello can be a bit confusing but it does not take long to catch on and understand how to use the app. With the web-app, you can easily drag and drop items, even when you want to include attachments to your projects.

Trello lets you sync your tasks across your devices and allows your upload content from your desktop, Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, and URLs. It also allows you to add pictures to cards and turn it into a cover image so you know what the card is about at a glance.

Trello Limitations.

Trello does not come with a time-tracking feature and provides no progress reports on projects being worked on.

Trello User Reviews.

Based on user reviews from Google Play Store, Trello is an app that many users love. However, some people complain of the free version having paid components on it, their inability to delete boards, and not getting notifications.

Competitors and Alternatives to Trello.

Top competitors and alternatives to Trello include Asana, Airtable, Zoho Projects, Easy Projects, Liquid Planner, and Teamwork Projects.

Overall, Trello gets a 7 out of 10 based on its uses and limitations.

Fashion entrepreneurs, regardless of how big or small their brand is, can find this app to be very useful when it comes to planning and organising events at work and play. It takes the stress of sending emails and putting calls through to team members out of projects.

The fact that it is highly flexible and easy-to-use makes it an even more attractive app for fashion entrepreneurs. I recommend it for every fashion entrepreneur looking to pay attention to managing work and workflow.
