Today, we spoke to Toluleye Odunsi regarding her fashion choices, her favourite ways to combine the elements seamlessly and many more. 

Toluleye Odunsi is a fashion entrepreneur who is very keen about fashion, photography as well as helping others in need. When she isn’t volunteering or eating, she’s designing, and we took a dive into her lifestyle of fashion.

How will you describe your fashion style?

I like to think of my fashion style as well thought-through but not stressed out. I also really like to keep it arty, simple and refined.

What dictates your style?

For me, the elements that dictate my style are my shape, complexion, prints, colour of the outfit, mood and then, the occasion.

How did you discover this style?

From playing around, experimenting and finally, translating my love for art and beauty into style, I was able to come up with a style to call my own.

Going by your style description, what would you say is your favorite way to combine the elements?

Well, my favourite look would be a fitted skirt, a tee-shirt with an artsy inscription, and a blazer with heels – all playing around with colours.

What do you aim for when getting dressed?

Personally, when getting dressed, I aim to feel and look like the best version of myself.

How often do you go shopping for clothes?

As a fashion designer, most times, I wear outfits from my brand – Folabomi House Of Fashion. So, I shop for clothes almost every time I create a new design for my brand.

What’s your most expensive outfit?

My most expensive outfit would have to be a custom-made dress created from a very beautiful shiny fabric with a full tulle skirt. 

Would you rather rock heels or sneakers for a corporate casual look?

Heels all the way! I like the vibe sneakers gives, yeah, but heels give off a ‘I didn’t come here to play’ type of energy, and I’m all for that!

Do you have a wardrobe cycle or timetable?

I actually don’t.

Do you have a fashion pet peeve?

My fashion pet peeve would have to be over accessorizing and over complicating your outfit. I am of the belief that less is always more in fashion.

What is your favourite fashion item?

To be honest? Blazers! Then, great shoes, of course.

What was your latest buy of your favorite item?

I recently copped a Folabomi House Of Fashion pale yellow blazer.

What are you hoping to buy next?

The next thing to cop on my list would definitely be a Folabomi House Of Fashion blazer dress.

Has to be late Princess Diana.
