Bijoux Trendy  is an eco-friendly, sustainable Tanzanian fashion brand, that specializes in ready-to-wear, bespoke outfits for women. They deal in hand-dyed fabrics sourced from Tanzania to make outstanding outfits, such as dresses, jumpsuits and many more.

The founder and creative director of the fashion label, Bijoux Mussa Watne, is a native of Tanzania with a speck of Norwegian mindset, as she earned a degree from the BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo, Norway, in Business Administration.

She grew to love fashion from a young age, as she watched a close relative of hers, design custom-made outfits for her mum, and other clients, some of which were important figures in Tanzania.

What makes Bijoux Trendy An Eco-friendly Fashion Brand?

Basically, eco-friendly products are earth-friendly products that are not harmful to the environment, and contribute to green living or practices that help conserve resources like water and energy.

Eco-friendly fashion, sometimes regarded as eco-fashion is about making clothes that take into account the environment, the health of customers and the working conditions of people in the fashion industry. Bijoux Trendy fashion brand makes use of 100% organic cotton to produce outfits for customers, thus investing in safer and more sustainable  fashion for clients.

Since 2014, the Bijoux Trendy fashion brand has designed outfits with organic cotton, as well as hand dye batik prints. The batik fabric is a traditional cloth created out of hand dyed colored design, and can be used to create dresses, skirts, top, and bags. The dyes which are not made out of harmful chemicals are formulated specially in Tanzania.

The fashion brand has showcased its items at numerous fashion weeks like the Swahili Fashion Week, which is among the biggest fashion shows in East Africa, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Ghana and many more.

With a number of collections to the brand’s name, they have been able to spread the good news of eco-friendly fashion whilst satisfying customers needs, as well as making profits. In the recent ‘Femme Noire Femme Africaine’ collection, we noticed a burst of colors, as well as different outfits ranging from pants, to tops and shirts, two pieces, dresses, as well as skirts.

The looks, paired with the right accessories, could pass as a casual look or a formal one.

The Bijoux Trendy fashion brand is definitely one that provides everyday wearable tie and dye pieces at good rates to satisfy their clientele.
