Kamala Harris

Dr Jill Biden
Dr Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States, also served looks during the ceremony. She rocked an ocean blue wool tweed coat, a dress and a matching face mask by young American designer, Alexandra O’Neil. The outfit which was custom-made for her was embroidered with Swarovski crystals and pearls, and it was simply stunning!

The designer, Alexandra O’Neil, founded her label Markarian in 2017 and has an impressive A-list clientele which includes Lizzo, Kate Hudson and many more.
Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga, who is naturally known for her edgy sense of fashion, graced the inaugural ceremony looking like someone out of a movie. As she dazzled the entire nation with her moving performance of the national anthem, her ensemble didn’t go unnoticed.
The singer, actress and songwriter wore a custom made Schiaparelli couture ball gown, accented by a large gold dove pin, which signifies peace. She also topped it off with an ornamental beauty look that would go down in history.
Jennifer Lopez
Award-winning singer and songwriter, Jennifer Lopez who delivered a special rendition of ‘This Land Is Your Land’ and ‘America The Beautiful’ during the ceremony also made a fashion statement with her outfit.
Her all-white outfit was an ensemble from Chanel’s Fall 2020 Collection, and it featured a tweed overcoat, a ruffled silk blouse as well as a sequinned high-waist trouser. She complimented the outfit with crystal earrings, pearl bracelets and heels by Jimmy Choo, and we must say it was all shades of elegant!
Michelle Obama
This roundup would be incomplete if we didn’t mention the breath-taking outfit that the former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, wore to the ceremony. It would be safe to say that the internet stood still when she walked into the US Capitol with Barack Obama in a monochrome ensemble.Â

Michelle Obama, who is known for her unique fashion choices, wowed everyone with a look from one of her favourite young designers, Sergio Hudson. The plum and burgundy ensemble comprised of a turtleneck sweater and wide-leg bootcut pants, with a structured coat.
She completed the look with a black face mask, a burgundy handmade leather belt fastened with a circular crushed brass buckle, and pumps to go. Did we also state that her wavy, voluminous and bouncy hair also complemented the outfit completely? Trust us when we say, Michelle Obama’s entire look screamed power and elegance.
These ladies and more graced the US Capitol looking like a million bucks – which they are anyways – and the internet definitely stood still. Of worthy mention as well are the President, Joe Biden’s grand-daughters. The trio dressed in a pink, white and brown ensemble respectively, and they brought a necessary pop of colour to the ceremony.
