First known as the gramophone awards, the Grammy is known for glitz, glamour and statement fashion pieces. The past 63 years has been beautiful and we are glad that this year wasn’t different.
Though partially virtual, the Grammys took place yesterday and we enjoyed every bit of it. The performances, the adrenaline rush, the excitement, the smiles and of course the fashion. Together, let’s check out the outstanding fashion statement pieces that stood out on the stage and red carpet at the 2021 Grammys Award.

Beyonce in a Black Leather Dress

While leather outfits might be in vogue, the Queen Bee stole the show with this one. Clad in a short black leather dress and matching elbow gloves and skin socks, Beyonce was stunning without trying too hard. Her blonde hair and skin popped and she wore her soft and sweet smile too.
She didn’t have to do much with accessories, she matched her looks with dangling gold and black earrings. The renowned artiste didn’t just steal our hearts, she went home with 4 awards too. For her years of consistency and Queening, those were well-deserved awards.
Mickey Guyton in a Sequin Dress

The music artist stunned in a golden flowing sequin dress as she performed her song, Black Like Me. Mickey’s dress did all the talking. All she had to add to it was dangling silver earrings and a bracelet.
Though she didn’t win the New Female Artist of the Year award she was nominated for, her look is one we won’t forget in a long while.
Lil Baby in an All Black Outfit

Black can glow! And I’m not just talking about black people. When worn right, the colour black can steal a whole show. Lil baby was one person we couldn’t ignore at the Grammys.
Suited up in an all-black tuxedo, the rapper glowed. His smile shone brighter than his diamond earrings and wristwatch. He didn’t just glow, he went home with 2 Grammy awards.
Meghan Thee Stallion in a Bright Orange Dress

The eccentric artist who won 3 awards last night caught our attention first on the red carpet, dressed in a bright off-shoulder orange Dolce and Gabanna dress. Megan was all smiles and confident as she waved eagerly at the cameras.
She matched her outfit with some diamonds – her round earrings, necklace, bracelets, and rings were all diamonds.
Dualipa Pinking it All The Way

The winner of the best pop vocal album graced the stage in an all-pink look. Dua began her melody of “Don’t Start Now” and “Levitating” in a magenta pink, off shoulder robe with a matching bejewelled bra. Her fully rhinestoned microphone matched her outfit too. With a number of rings gracing her pretty finger, Dua looked glorious in pink.
