Every one of us has heard, at one point or the other in life, that determination and stamina are important factors for success at whatever you set out to do.
Entrepreneurs are not left out of this, whether you’re just trying to build your business or you already have an established business, once you and your team no longer have that drive or strength to go on, the business will suffer.

Determination is that quality you show when you have decided to do something and will not let anything stop you – it is firmness of purpose.
Stamina is that strength and energy that allows you to sustain physical or mental effort for long periods of time. It is endurance.
Determination and stamina go hand in hand.
What’s the Use of Determination and Stamina?
As an entrepreneur who wants to build a multimillion dollar fashion house, be it with clothes, shoes, bags or beaded accessories, there are times when you will have to work long hours and times when frustration will kick in and all you want to do is throw in the towel.
At times like this, having the dream alone will not be enough. You are going to need the determination that won’t allow anything stop you and the stamina to push forward and overcome.

Building these skills is not a day’s job but it is definitely doable.
Ways to Build Determination and Stamina
1. Think Positively:
The mind is more powerful than many of us think it is. It’s the mind that determines to a large extent if we will push forward or stop short. So, in order to build stamina and determination, you have to affirm to yourself over and over again that you can do it.
2. Visualise:
Many times, seeing yourself achieving or doing something helps to actually achieve that thing. So sit for a while and constantly see yourself achieve your set goal. Do it so much so that every part of you believes you’ve achieved it then work towards it.
3. Plan for Setbacks:
Success always comes with it’s own fair share of initial setbacks. Before any of the setbacks come, you should already have it in your mind that they’ll come and find things that’ll help you pick yourself back up after each setback. Never let setbacks get the best of you but learn from every mistake you make and push forward.

4. Eliminate Distractions:
Never, and I mean never, try to work and do other unrelated things, like watching t.v. and playing with your phone, at the same time. When it’s time for work, focus on the work at hand and do it. This will help you build stamina to work and help you meet up with deadlines without putting yourself in a tight corner.
5. Manage Stress:
Stress is inevitable in life but its how you manage it that speaks to your determination and stamina. When things get too hard, take a rest, remember, you’re only just human. When you’re well rested and your diet is good, you’ll naturally have more drive and strength to take on each day and each new task to achieve your dream.
6. Leverage on your Strengths:
As an entrepreneur, when you get feedback on ways to improve yourself, you tend to focus on those things. This is fine, but you also need to figure out your strengths so you can use them to help you stay determined on building your brand. When you know your strengths you will be able to delegate tasks effectively and work with others to make the dream work.

In growing your fashion brand, remember that you need to possess certain skills; determination, stamina, proactivity, creativity and so on, but also remember that you can build these skills up in yourself.
